Composer, Orchestrator, Producer, Musical Director and Performer, Keith Hutchinson is a multi-talented and critically acclaimed musician. He has composed and produced soundtracks for award-winning films, and was Co-Nominated for a Grammy with the Group which was the musical Spearhead of cultural change in South Africa - Johnny Clegg and Savuka.

He studied Piano and Clarinet privately through the Royal Schools of Music, Trinity College and Berklee Jazz College in Boston USA. He was also very fortunate to have had the opportunity to study Theory and Composition with the late Richard Cherry.

The young Englishman arrived in South Africa in 1964 and from a young age has contributed to the vast spectrum and many genres of music that makes up the very colourful and delightful South African music scene. There has always been a deep connection and interest in African and other ethnic music, especially in mixing the elements of diverse musical cultures with jazz, rock, orchestral and machines, Forever attempting to stretch the boundaries - should there any? This started in the sixties as a member of South Africa's premier Afro-Rock band "Hawk" with great success with their debut Gold album "African Day" and later with the international and multi-platinum selling Zulu crossover band "Johnny Clegg and Savuka".
